Five years away from releasing music, and then Reflexion came together almost immediately.
That’s probably what makes this track so personal to me. A lot had changed since my last release. I’d experienced more, learned more and had time to work out what kind of music I actually wanted to make.
By this point, I had a much clearer idea of the sound I wanted. I wasn’t trying to chase anything. I wanted to make something that felt like me — deep, atmospheric, melodic and driven by the groove.
Then Reflexion just fell into place. There were no days of going back and forth, second-guessing every decision or trying to force the track into shape. It came together naturally, and within two days it was finished and ready to release.
"After five years away, Reflexion was the perfect way to start making music again."
